I was recently given a piece of advice by a fellow RideAround blogger – “don’t test ride a BMW 1200 GS Adventure if you don’t want to buy one!”. How true this turned out to be. After about a mile of the test ride I knew from the ear to ear grin how true that advice was. Since then I agreed to purchase the dealers demo model and I picked it up last night. I am still getting used to the bike but my initial impression is that it is a superb upgrade from the Suzuki Bandit I have been riding for the past few years. The bike looks about twice the size of the now departed Bandit but it is surprisingly chuckable into the bends and is fantastically balanced and easy to control and the responsiveness and torque from low down makes it a lot of fun and very easy to get up to motorway speeds the local speed limit!
Overall I can’t wait to get off the ferry next month to embark on the next Ridearound adventure!

I agree with everything you said… specifically about the next Ridearound adventure!
