  1. I guess you guys are in Guernsey. I’m in Jersey and the proud owner of a new 800GS. Keen to get it as dirty as possible, I wa wondering if you guys ever check out the green lanes of Brittany or Normandy. I see you’ve been to the Off-Road School in Wales, so I was thinking you might be keen for a little French mud! I haven’t researched the legally rideable routes (assuming there are some!) but keen to explore.

  2. Hi Geoff,

Glad to hear you are looking to put the F800GS to good use! I had not thought about the Normandy green lanes myself as we are starting to look at HUMM 2010 which should be good for a bit of offroad action – http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/humm/

If you get the chance it is definitely worth taking a trip up to the Off-Road riding school to put the F800GS through it’s paces as the instructors are really helpful and you can learn a heck of a lot in 2 days.

    Cheers

  3. Hi Geoff,

If you’re thinking of putting together a green-laning holiday to Normandy I’d sign up to it! I also know a few other people over here in Guernsey that would be interested too, although none of them have been sensible enough to get a GS.

I also tend to get over to Jersey once a year, with my bike, so if you’ve know some good green lanes over there let me know.

I’d also second Leigh on his advice to get to Wales to do the World of BMW Off-Road skills course.

    Cheers,
    Adrian
