This exact situation happened to my 1200GS yesterday and your reset procedure solved the problem. I will have to wait to see if this problem reoccurs but for now it is fine. Thanks for the help as I am on a road trip and finding service is difficult.

If you have Eurosport, there are daily updates, but being on Sky, there may be literally 10 families that can't watch it. It's not a sport subscription option but I am not sure what/if any package is needed to view it. Dave says he can't watch it so I guess you need something!

Does your iPod have GPS? Without it, the program would be reliant on WiFi positioning to get a location and it would not be very accurate. The App is free to try though so just download it and see how well it works!

The earphone speakers in my helmet (Shoei XT-1500 AFAIK without checking) are partially tucked behind the top of the cheek padding section which gets the speakers close enough to your ears to be able to hear. To me they are not really noticeable even on longer bike rides.

The padding around the speakers is quite thin so if you just stick them to the inside of the helmet directly rather than between the helmet and inner padding then I could see them being a bit uncomfortable though.

How comfortable are the earphone speakers?

I have one system in my AGV lid that has me wanting to tear my helemt off after an hour and go in search of the designers with a tyre wrench.

I have experience of this problem. I dropped my 1200GS on the left side after hitting a diesel spill. The handguard was damaged an losened as a result. Following the repair I neglected to fully tighten the handguard and it impaired the clutch level meaning the clutch would slip on full-throttle. Simple to fix when you relaize what's happening (and you could argue it's a cheap way to curb your speed following a get-off).
